Moscow manufacturers of medical devices increased production by 12.7%

For the first nine months of 2020, manufacturers of medical equipment and instruments located in Moscow shipped products worth 11.2 billion rubles, which is 12.7% more than in the previous year. In total, more than 20 large and medium-sized enterprises of this profile operate in Moscow, said Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

“In total, there are more than 20 large and medium-sized enterprises in Moscow producing medical equipment and instruments. In the first nine months of 2020, they shipped goods of their own production for 11.2 billion rubles, which is 12.7% more than in the same period last year, “said Vladimir Efimov at an event dedicated to the receipt by Hirana + of the status of a resident of a special economic zone “Technopolis” Moscow “”.

The company “Hirana +” produces ventilators at its own production in Pechatniki. Now the company occupies 10% of the domestic market for ventilators and 7% of the market for anesthesia and respiratory devices. The enterprise’s capacities allow producing more than 300 units of medical equipment per year. Resident status allows companies to receive benefits and to invest the saved funds in their production. The new resident of the technopolis has already invested 26 million rubles in modern production of medical equipment and plans to invest another 40 million rubles by 2022.

“Investments in the development of production will allow the new resident of the technopolis to increase production capacity up to 288 ventilators and 192 anesthesia and respiratory devices per year in three years. To this end, next year the company plans to increase the number of workers almost twofold from 23 to 37 people, ”explained Alexander Prokhorov, head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

By the end of 2022, the company also plans to start serial production of lung simulators, disinfection frames, equipment for disinfecting goods and modular monitors.
