The Government of the Russian Federation has added the list of medical devices subject to preferential taxation
The Russian government has added four new categories to the list of medical devices subject to preferential value added taxation (VAT). The list includes culture media and analytes for in vitro diagnostics, urological products, and metal containers for hazardous medical waste.
Amendments were made to the RF Government Decree No. 688 of September 15, 2008 “On approval of the lists of codes of medical products subject to value added tax at a tax rate of 10%”.
In particular, the list includes culture media for in vitro diagnostics (code OKPD2 126.96.36.199), reagents for the determination of analytes for in vitro diagnostics (code 188.8.131.52), urological products (code 184.108.40.206) and metal containers for hazardous medical waste.
